CHURCH EXTENSION -- Advance Special #583633-3

This past year, over 60 work teams and Volunteers in Mission teams of all ages from across the country worked on various facilities throughout the OIMC. While they provided a wealth of skills, expertise and funds, more funds were needed to purchase materials for the various projects. Your National Advance gift to OIMC Church Extensions will assis the conference to repair, renovate, expand existing buildings and construct new facilities!

Summary:Provides funds to repair, renovate, and expand existing buildings and to construct new facilities within the Oklahoma Indian Missionary Conference. The capital financial request for this project is $100,000.

Description: A lot of church facilities were built several years ago. They have inadequate space for different kinds of ministries or are in need of much repair. Thus, the project is necessary to assist with remodeling, expansion, or repair. The local churches are small membership churches. Several factors impact the family and churches making it difficult to complete a project by themselves. These factors may be related to health, education, employment, income or transportation.

Project goals are:

  1. To help local churches and districts make improvements on church facilities.
  2. To increase invovlement of local churches in the Volunteer in Mission process.
  3. To expand mission opportunities for the local church.
