Rev. David Wilson Named Distinguished Alumnus

The Rev. David M. Wilson, Conference Superintendent of the Oklahoma Indian Missionary Conference, was honored with a Distinguished Alumnus Award from Phillips Theological Seminary at the Oklahoma Annual Conference May 30th and again at the OIMC Annual Conference June 8th. Rev. Wilson earned a Master of Divinity degree from the seminary in 1994. He was the first member of the OIMC to graduate from PTS, located in Tulsa. Before assuming leadership in OIMC Rev. Wilson pastored Norman First American UMC. He is currently a member of the General Board of Global Ministries and the General Commission on General Conference. He also serves as chair of the Native American Comprehensive Plan, is a member of the South Central Jurisdictional Episcopal Committee and serves on the Native American Ministries Sunday scholarship program for the General Board of Higher Education.
