Conference UMW Prepare for Mission Education Event

The theme for the 2008 Mission Education Event as well as West Gulf Regional School is “Living the Sacred.” West Gulf Regional School will be held June 12-15 at outhwestern College, Winfield, Kansas.

The studies for this year are: Giving Our Hearts Away - Native American Survival; I Believe in Jesus; Israel and Palestine.

Teaching the study on Native American Survival at West Gulf Regional School from OIMC are Rev. Alvin Deer and Pearl Thomas. Rev. David Wilson will be teaching at Midwest Regional School in North Manchester, Indiana. Rev. Anita Phillips and Josephine Deere will be teaching at South Atlantic Regional School in Owensboro, Kentucky.

West Gulf Regional School is asking for logo drawings centered on the theme for their program book. If you would like to submit a drawing, please send to Linda Cusher at 1519 East 7th, Okmulgee, 74447 no later than February 9th.

OIMC Mission Education Event is set for July 23-26, 2008 at Mount Sequoyah. Dean for this year’s event is Marian Mitchell, Assistant Dean is Nellie Long and the Associate Dean is Sue Burgess.
