Roger Scott to be Named Southern District Superintendent

Due to continued health issues, Rev. Tim Byington has asked to return to the local church and not continue as the Southern District Superintendent, effective at the 2008 Annual Conference.

Bishop Robert E. Hayes, Jr. has announced that Rev. Roger Scott, pastor of the New Hope UMC at Dewey, Oklahoma will be the new Southern District Superintendent.

“We are thankful for Tim’s leadership over the past three years in the Southern District,” said Rev. David Wilson, OIMC Conference Superintendent. “He has worked hard at his appointment and has done well.”
