OIMC Day at OCU

The Wesley Foundation at Oklahoma City University sets aside one day,
usually in February, to host youth from our conference for a day full of activities.

On February 9th over 100 individuals representing 14 churches attended
OCU Day. Rev. Chebon Kernell was the guest speaker during worship. Chebon encouraged those in attendance to aspire to big dreams and he also reminisced about his days as a youth as well as a student at OCU.

Wesley Foundation students gave tours of the campus, organized indoor and
outdoor games, presented a panel discussion on OCU for the high school attendees and conducted a free throw contest. Awards were presented during our meal to the church that traveled the farthest, that went to Tohwali and one to the church with the most in attendance, that went to Big Cussetah with 19. The evening concluded with attendance at the OCU
boys and girls basketball games, which both teams won.
