OIMC Member Celebrates Graduation

Dwayne Taylor of Angie Smith Memorial UMC in Oklahoma City, will be celebrating his graduation from Capital Hill High School in Oklahoma City.
Dwayne, a member of the Choctaw Naiton, has been a life-long member of the Angie Smith church and was baptized as an infant and received confirmation at the age of 12. He has attended OIMC events all over the state with his family, including UMW gatherings and gospel singings.

When Dwayne was born he was not expected to live past three months. But through the prayers and support of friends and loved ones has since marched in the school band, served as the team manager for the basketball team, and participated in the special olympics.

“Dwayne always prayed. and asked for prayers about everything,” said Gloria Taylor, Dwayne’s grandmother. “When he went to a new school, for good grades, everything he did”. “We just wanted to share this announcement with all of Dwaynes friends across the OIMC about this event.” said Taylor.

Dwayne will be participating in the commencement ceremonies at the Cox Convention Center June 6th at 6p.m.
