OIMC Immersion Event

In response to the Mission u study on “Missionary Conferences of the United Methodist Church in the United States” Oklahoma Indian Missionary Conference has planned an Immersion Event for October 22-26, 2017. The Bestwestern Saddleback Inn hotel will be the hotel that will be used. We will begin on Sunday evening the 22nd at 6:30 with dinner and orientation. Monday will include presentations from OIMC as well as Oklahoma Conference a visit to the Oklahoma History Center, American Indian Cultural Center, Standing Bear Park in Ponca City and Ponca Indian UMC. Tuesday will include visits to Washita Battlefield Site at Cheyenne, OK and Clinton Indian Church and Community Center. Wednesday will be a visit to the Anadarko area. The event will conclude Wednesday night with a special service at Norman First American UMC. Cost per individual is $160 which will cover meals, transportation while involved in the immersion event and admission to some of the venues that we will be visiting. Transportation to and from Oklahoma City is on your own as well as hotel. Rooms at Bestwestern Saddleback are $79 per night, double-occupancy, queen beds. The hotel is located at Meridian and I-40, phone number is 405-947-7000 and when making reservations please let them know you are with the OIMC Immersion group. This event is open to anyone that may be interested in knowing or learning about the Oklahoma Indian Missionary Conference.
